Sun Valley Round Up
It’s summer in Sun Valley and in my opinion the greatest time of the year to be here. My summer challenge is to hike a peak every weekend. This is a photo on top of Johnstone Peak outside Sun Valley.
Last summer I decided to pursue my interest in real estate investing by starting coursework with Harvard for a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Investing. I’m now two thirds through and will complete my certificate in December! I have obtained my broker license in Colorado, Montana and Hawaii to assist investors in the mountain west states acquire properties.
While investing in a mountain rental doesn’t provide the highest return, it is a lifestyle purchase that can diversify your real estate portfolio. Typical annual returns on mountain rental properties are 2-3%. If you put 50% down on a property you can be close to breaking even.
Below is a Ketchum home for sale and a Sun Valley condo for sale that are positioned well as investment properties.
