“Moms in the Mountains” have been on my mind this week as we think about the Tahoe community.

This photo is from January — a group of local moms meeting up on weekends to train for the Boulder Mountain Tour. Early alarms, cold starts, plenty of layers, and lots of laughs.

That’s one of the things I love most about living in a mountain town. Shared experiences bring people together in a really natural way. You sign up for a race, a tour, or a long ski — and somewhere along the way it becomes about more than the event. It’s the consistency. The encouragement. The coffee after. The friendships that grow from simply showing up.

Community is built in those small, regular moments.

Grateful for strong women, fresh air, and the way the mountains connect us.
