Sun Valley Round Up

The annual Boulder Mountain Tour was held on February 1. If you have not heard, it’s a 35k Skate/Nordic ski race from Galena Lodge to the SNRA, just north of Ketchum. It attracts 1000 skiers from the West and puts our Nordic Town on the map. For 5 weeks prior to the event we had near perfect trail conditions for skating. Then, the night before the race, it snowed a foot. It was a gritty event trudging through deep snow for nearly 20 miles.

A good friend of mine was taking pictures at the finish, I think this captures it all.

Real Estate Market Reports for:
Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley

The year is just getting started so it’s a bit premature to compare annually, but due to continued high interest rates and an abundance of inventory, I suspect we will see prices soften in 2025.

Sales have been brisk to start the year in Hailey with inventory up and sales price down.

Sun Valley has a 33% increase in inventory and Days on Market is up 76%.

Ketchum shows a 31% increase in listings and Days on Market is up 75% at 74 days.

New on the Market

There is a lot to like in this spacious Hailey home that I toured yesterday. The Sellers are VERY MOTIVATED making this an attractive buy in Hailey right now. The home has a great layout, located on a prime Hailey street and “feels” very comfortable.
