Sun Valley Round Up
Sun Valley Welcomes Back the World’s Elite: Host of the 2027 Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals!
Sun Valley, Idaho, will once again host the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals from March 20–25, 2027. Following the tremendous success of the 2025 Finals, the world’s top alpine athletes will return to Bald Mountain’s challenging “Challenger” course to vie for the coveted season-long crystal globes.
Beyond the high-stakes racing, the event will offer a vibrant, festival-like atmosphere. The 2025 event was praised for being well-organized, with traffic and crowds moving smoothly despite thousands of visitors. Off the hill, the celebration included non-stop activities such as live music, fireworks, the 5850 Fest, and a unique Ski-Joring exhibition where skiers were pulled by horseback.
The success generated an estimated $16 million in economic impact throughout Idaho and Blaine County and featured historic moments like Mikaela Shiffrin’s 101st World Cup win and Lindsey Vonn’s second-place podium finish in her final U.S. event. While many expected prices to surge during the event, for better or worse, this was largely unfounded for some retail sectors, though hotel receipts and average daily rates did increase significantly.

New on the market
Watch World Cup Finals from your living room! OK, you may need binoculars, but this townhome boasts straight on views of Warm Springs. Room for everyone with 4 bedrooms and 3000sf, asking $3.25mm.
Showstopper!
This newly constructed home just came on the market and it’s worth a discussion. Plan approvals took years because the building envelope for this home situated on a 10 ACRE PARCEL lies within the “Mountain Overlay.” If you have not noticed, the Wood River Valley generally doesn’t allow building on hillsides, so it’s very rare to have a property with direct elevated views of Baldy. This stunning home is several blocks to the Ketchum core and backs up to BLM land on the back side of Dollar Mountain. The privacy, views and location are unmatched.
