Most events have been cancelled for the summer.
Many major employers have extended “work from home” for their employees through 2020.
In a recent article by Forbes; Google, Facebook, Slack and Amazon are all allowing employees to work from home until 2021. In a CNBC article, Barclay’s CEO stated, “corporate offices with thousands of employees may be a think of the past.”
These employer changes are VERY SIGNIFICANT for Sun Valley.
Realtor.com just released a 2020 Housing Forecast. Overall they predict a 15% decline in home sales nationwide.
However, rural areas, especially areas that are rich in lifestyle and outdoor recreation, MAY SEE STRONG SALES.
If your job no longer requires you to live in San Francisco, Seattle or New York. The world opens up, and you begin to look at where you WANT to live.
All these predictions are simply that; predictions. We do know a large influx of long term renters are coming this summer.
Whether they are interested in staying, or decide to stay; remains to be seen.
